What is the best state in the USA for bass fishing?

Asked by: 2046 views , ,

Where would you say bass fishing is best? I’ve always thought Missouri had some of the best fishing, but I’m wondering if there’s a state that’s considered even better.

There’s good bass fishing opportunities just about every state in the USA – except Alaska. States like Florida, California, and Texas offer some of the best big bass fishing in the world.

Luckily, there’s no one best spot, or all the bass fisherman (including me) would have gone there long ago and fished it empty, haha.

Missouri is a good spot for bass, and Texas has some lakes and reservoirs that rank among the best in the nation, too. Arkansas has good bass fishing, especially in Lake Ouachita. You can go as far north as Lake Erie and find great bass fishing, though. One of the perks of being a bass fisherman is that you’re never more than a few hours from a great bass lake in most parts of the country.

You won’t find many in Alaska or Hawaii, though.

Some other good lakes are Lake Champlain in New York and Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota.

Overall, Texas probably has the most lakes with excellent bass fishing, though. And I’m not from Texas, so I’m not just saying it because I live there. ;)

You’ll find some of the best bass waters in the world in Florida (Lake Okeechobee and Lake Kissimmee), Texas (Falcon Lake and Lake Fork), California (Clear Lake and Lake Casitas) and Missouri (Mozingo lake).
