Far Fetched charters is located in Leland, Michigan, just a short drive from Traverse City, and offers superior sport fishing charter trips on Lake Michigan. The charter travels from historic Fishtown in Leland out onto the lake to the calm waters of the Manitou Passage where the fish usually feed. Seasonally, Far Fetched charters provide access to Coho salmon, King Salmon, Lake and brown trout, and steelhead. General fishing seasons are lake trout in May, salmon and steelhead in June and the bulk of the salmon fishing taking place between July and September.

The "Far Fetched" is a 28-foot Bertram boat that is ideal for all kinds of fishing on Lake Michigan. The boat is designed with sport fishing in mind, and contains the most up-to-date equipment and electronic fishing aides on the market today. Safety is important in the charter and the Captain, who has been fishing on Lake Michigan for over 31 years, is licensed by the US Coast Guard.

Charters are offered for half and full day trips. Morning half-day charters generally start at 6 AM for morning charters and noon for afternoon charters. Full-day trips usually also begin at 6 AM, but can be adjusted to start later if necessary. Although the Far-Fetched can only hold six passengers, the captain has made arrangements to utilize the services of larger boats to accommodate parties in excess of six.
